Nicknamed "Junior" and "The Kid" George Kenneth Griffey Jr. played MLB for 22 years. He had a short stint playing in the minor leagues and in June 1987 he went pro. He spent the majority of his career with the Seattle Mariners but also went on to play for the Cincinnati Reds and a quick stint with the Chicago White Socks.
During his first season of 54 games played he led the team 14 home runs, 13 steals, and 40RBI.
